The choose od footwear, in which the child takes the first steps is very important because it directly affects the formation of the correct posture of the body. Prophylactic shoes First Steps are shoes for learning to walk which were created with great care in cooperation with the International Institute of Physiotherapy and Health and the Institute of Leather Industry.

A properly shaped foot has a longitudinal arch and a transverse arch, which under normal conditions provide springiness, smoothness and confidence in gait.

Another important element of the foot structure are three foot support points forming the so-called "Support Triangle", i.e. the heel bone cusp and the head of the first (I) and fifth (V) metatarsal bones. The foot is one of the most important elements of the human locomotor system, among others, it has a cushioning and locomotor function, and is the basis for maintaining the correct posture of the body. Taking care of the correct load distribution and the prevention of defects in the area of feet during the process of learning to walk may have a positive impact on the body posture, and thus on the health of children.

First Steps Ameko are made on a specially designed last. They have a properly shaped heel and stiffened heel counter. The shoes are wide and high enough in the front part to ensure the proper freedom for the developing little feet.
